May 2011 - Stephanie Hurtt from Vero Beach, FL and Bruce Covell from Indiana joined me for a glorious sail from Eleuthera, Bahamas to Sandy Hook, NJ. We had nine days of near-perfect sailing with a single 24-hour stop at Marsh Harbour, Abacos for fuel and provisioning.
Warm following winds pushed us northward, aided by gentle Gulf Stream currents. We had warm sunny days and starry nights with delicious blue water all the way! There was no rain in sight and the pace was easy, with three-hour watches giving all of us plenty of time to rest and relax.
The easiest way to describe what it was like is through pictures of the voyage. Check them out below.
